Because there are no subscription fees, publication costs are paid from an author's research budget, or by their supporting institution, in the form of Article Processing Charges. All Processing Charges Are Waved for Invited Papers. The Journal of Cosmology is an Open Access journal and requires Article Processing Charges that will be billed to the submitting author upon submitting and upon acceptance of the article for publication. Manuscripts will not be processed and PDF attachments will not be opened until all Processing Fees have been paid.
1) Research: Major scientific discoveries and original research articles which address important theoretical issues and make a significant contribution to science. --Cosmology charges $150.00 to cover the costs of processing Research Articles.
2) Theoretical: Comparing and contrasting specific theories (e.g. big bang vs steady state, panspermia vs abiogenesis), or the presentation of new theories. --Cosmology charges $75.00 to cover the costs of processing Theoretical Articles
3) Reviews: explanatory overviews and discussions of historical and recent discoveries or theoretical developments within the field. --Cosmology charges $75.00 to cover the costs of processing Review Articles
4) --Cosmology charges $35.00 to process Commentary.
5) Speculation: Hypotheses and scientifically grounded speculation. Maximum length: 10 pages --Cosmology charges $35.00 to process Speculation. Papers will be submitted for review upon receipt of these fees. Regardless of the decisions of the referees/reviewers, there will be no refunds.
If the research article is accepted for publication, Cosmology charges an additional $200.00 to cover formatting and publication costs.
There are no publication charges for theoretical, review, speculation, or opinion articles
Once accepted for publication and upon receipt of the finished manuscript, all papers will be posted online, usually within 72 hours, at both the Cosmology and Journal of Cosmology websites.
